Marie, the owner of The Cutting Edge Hair Design, has been a hairstylist for over 20 years. She knew early on that doing hair was her passion, and has spent her career growing her expertise, supporting others, and building a salon culture rooted in kindness, education, and community. Marie is certified with many of the industry's top brands and regularly pursues advanced training in cutting, color, and styling techniques. She is a certified Ouidad Curly Hair Expert, Gray Blending Specialist, and Babe Hair Extension Certified. Although she thinks long hair is beautiful, Marie has the most fun creating short, textured haircuts. Born and raised in Commack, Marie believes deeply in giving back to the local community.

Jules, a Senior Stylist and our Salon Manager, has been on The Cutting Edge Team for the past 4 years. She is passionate about continuing her education in the latest trends and products and is certified in Magic Sleek, Brazilian Blowout, Lasio Keratin, and Extensions. Jules is also one of the few Ouidad Curly Cut certified stylists on Long Island. Her patience, warm personality, and ability to listen to what a client wants allow her to create a perfect masterpiece customized to each of her clients.

Alexa is a licensed junior stylist who has been in the beauty industry since 2021. With a passion for helping women feel confident and beautiful, she strives to ensure every guest leaves her chair feeling refreshed and empowered. Her love for hair and makeup began at a young age, where she was always the go-to stylist for friends and family. Alexa especially loves creating voluminous, bouncy blowouts and polished finishes that enhance her clients' natural beauty.

Scarling is a recent cosmetology graduate who has already demonstrated strong technical ability and attention to detail in her work. She brings a positive attitude, professionalism, and a focused approach to supporting our stylists on the salon floor, with blowouts emerging as one of her notable strengths. Bilingual in English and Spanish, Scarling is warm, approachable, and eager to continue developing her skills through mentorship.

Ella brings a warm, upbeat presence to the salon and has a natural ability to help clients feel comfortable and welcome. In her role as an apprentice, she supports our stylists on the floor while continuing to refine her skills through hands-on experience and mentorship. With nearly three years of industry experience, Ella has already demonstrated strong reliability, professionalism, and a true team-oriented work ethic.

Joshua is a salon assistant at The Cutting Edge Hair Design, bringing a strong foundation in customer service and a passion for hair artistry to the team. Currently honing his skills through beauty school, he is focused on delivering memorable experiences and stunning results for every guest. Before joining the salon, Joshua spent over seven years in retail, including four years in management. With a creative eye and a passion for color, he is especially drawn to bold hair color and innovative short cuts.

Nicole brings over 14 years of experience in salon front desk and guest relations, with a natural talent for creating a warm, welcoming, and professional client experience. Highly organized and an excellent communicator, she helps keep the day running smoothly from the moment a guest walks in to the moment they leave feeling their best. Nicole is known for her friendly personality, attention to detail, and ability to multitask with ease.
