Monday 11am to 5pm, Wednesday 10am to 6pm, Thursday and Friday 10am to 7pm, Saturday 9am to 5pm. Closed Tuesday and Sunday.

Do I need an appointment or can I walk in?

Appointments are strongly recommended and can be booked online any time. Walk-ins are taken when a stylist has availability.

What is your cancellation policy?

A card is required to book consultations. A 50 dollar fee applies to no-shows or cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice.

Are you a Ouidad Certified curly hair salon?

Yes. Our stylists are trained in the Ouidad Carve and Slice cutting method for curly and textured hair.

Do you do hair extensions?

Yes. We are Babe Certified Extension Artists offering tape-in, bonded, micro-link and hand-tied wefts. Every extension service starts with a complimentary consultation.

Twenty Years in Commack

Marie Marsilio opened The Cutting Edge with a dream, a pair of shears, and a lot of determination. Two decades and countless transformations later, we are still right here in Commack, NY, and in 2026 we reopened our doors with a full salon renovation built, wall by wall, by Marie's husband Mike.

We are an education-driven, family-first salon. Ouidad Certified, Babe Certified, proudly a Moroccanoil salon. Some of our guests have been with us for twenty years, and we never take that loyalty for granted.
